Being as deep into this line of work as we are we meet a lot of great people around the country. Several guides that we have had the pleasure of hunting and fishing with are included here to help you to enjoy your recreational time. "AB Joint Outfitters" provides hunts for first class trophy exotics, doves, hogs, turkey and big game fishing. Owned and operated by Alex Beasley, AB Joint Outfitters will take you for a ride Texas style!

Alex is a fun guy and you never know what to expect each time you go out. Alex does it right. He's first class with a streak of craziness. Try one of his hog hunts with knives if you want a real adrenaline rush!

Texoma Outfitters hands down provides the best Stripper fishing I have ever experienced on Lake Texoma. If you've never fished for Stripers on Lake Texoma you might as well have never fished, it's that incredible of an outing (and I've fished from Gulf to Boundary waters and one ocean to another including a few months in Alaska) They also do hogs, deer and duck hunts in the marshes at the west end of Lake Texoma.

Tim Hall is a great guy and has become a great friend. Tim also provides surf and turf packages if you've got the energy to hunt and fish in the same day.

"Smitty's On Snowbank" is a quaint resort on the shores of Snowbank Lake on the border of The Boundry Waters Canoe Area in Northern Minnesota. It is a beautiful retreat for the family and offers incredible fishing. That's what drew us up there last summer but the woods around have a lot of grouse and big game if you want to go in the fall and hunt. We heard ruffed grouse drumming in the woods all around the lake when we were fishing.

Smitty's makes it easy on you too. They have everything there that a person could possibly need from boats and motors to fishing rods, if you forget yours, and plenty of live bait. Ely, Minnesota is about 15 minutes away and offers all the conveniences of restaurants, tackle shops, grocery stores, etc.

We hammered the Walleye and small mouths and caught some nice northern perch too. We didn't chase the lake trout or northern pike in Snowbank but a friend of ours, who goes every year, says the lake has huge ones. We used Smitty's as a base to access The Boundary Waters and caught dozen's of big Pike (30 - 40 inches), hundreds of Walleye and the biggest small mouth bass I've ever found. We fished the rock ledges and outcroppings for bass. I didn't keep track of how many we caught exactly, but there were at least a couple of dozen in the 4 - 5 lb range and a couple bigger ones. Those are nice small mouths! I pulled a big ole Pike out of one cove and within a half hour the biggest Bluegill I've ever seen started biting. We caught over 40 of them in the next hour. They're pretty hard to find but worth fishing them hard when you do find them. They fight like Tasmanian devils on light tackle and are more prized by the locals up there than even Walleye. All this great fishing was set in the midst of some of the prettiest scenery around. Bald Eagles and Loons were regular companions and the skies were sunny every day.
